On Johns Island, the largest island in the state of SC, know for its tomato producing farms, visit The Angel Oak Tree, a Southern Live Oak (quercus virginiana) is located in Angel Oak Park. The tree is estimated to be 400-500 years old. It stands 66.5 feet, measures 28 feet in circumference, its longest branch is 187 feet.
